Shipping & Delivery

At Dear Books, we are dedicated to getting your curated stories into your home as safely and efficiently as possible.

Processing & Subscription Dispatch

Subscription Boxes: Our monthly subscription boxes are carefully packed and dispatched on in the last week of every month.

Individual Orders: For books purchased outside of a subscription, please allow 1–3 business days for order processing before dispatch.

 You will receive a notification via email as soon as your parcel is on its way to you.

Shipping Options

We currently ship throughout South Africa using The Courier Guy and pudo smart locker services.

Important Information for Pudo Users

If you select pudo at checkout, please note:

Collection Window: Once your parcel is placed in the locker, you will receive an SMS/email from pudo with a unique PIN code. You have 36 hours to collect your parcel before it is removed from the locker.

Locker Selection: Please provide your preferred locker location in the order notes or at checkout. You can find your nearest locker here.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been handed over to our courier, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can follow the journey of your books:

Shipping Delays

While we do our best to ensure timely delivery, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by courier service disruptions, public holidays, or incorrect shipping addresses provided at checkout. Please double-check your details before finalizing your order.
